I am closing this thread. I started it with a list of some household stuff that we are clearing out, offering them for free. However, the discussion has been entirely hi-jacked by people posting about fly-tipping. Sorry.

We're at the St Ann's Road end of Woodlands Park Road. It will probably be tomorrow before I can get any photos added of any of the stuff.

No. I can see the corner - Avondale and WPR - from our front windows, and have never seen anyone dumping. I think they do it at dead of night. There's often stuff dumped there. In fact, there is stuff there right now.

Do you both have the 'Our Haringey' app? Nothing much seems to help stop dumping but at least it's quick and easy to get cleared away.

They're dumping at the corner of St Ann's and Glenwood too, a fridge freezer in the road and at least one bed on the pavement this morning.

It's everybody's concern to stop it happening. There's a certain amount of designing out that can be done. But other than that there's surveillance and education.

I've caught residents and landlord of the HMO across the road red handed doing it many times. I've sent photographs to the council of them doing it and also address labels on dumped cardboard boxes. This has been going on for at least three years from the same house and they keep doing it, last year the landlords workmen were even turning up in vans and dumping household appliances and furniture from other addresses on the bridge. When I see it I go out and ask them not to do it or I will report them and they just call me a whore or a bitch and carry on. I did get a response from the council saying they were dealing with it but it's still going on so I don't think it's getting through, or there aren't any consequences. Similar situation with Devran and the constant flytipping and slurry all over the footpath. they just won't stop.

"Designing out" - the council I work for seems to have shut down one dumping spot by turning it into motorcycle parking.
Generally, if it's cleared quickly less waste will accumulate. -

Record for my reports is ten days. But I live on an estate. Apparently there's some dispute between estate staff and Veolia as to where Veolia will collect dumped waste from.
I must say when one of my neighbours had a clear out over their back wall (and onto my communal lawn) this week it was cleared quickly, though my report is still open on the app I think. -
