'is Katie there?' Door knockers
I might be doing these people a disservice but on two occasions now a male and female have knocked out door and when answered asked if Katie is there. They've just knocked again at half three. We're on Warham.
On the first occasion the male was looking through the letter box.
It seems a perfect cover to see if there's anyone in at the property.
Anyone else met these two?

What did they look like? I just noticed a guy being searched by some plain clothes police at the bottom of Hewitt.

Sounds like they are looking for empty properties to burgle.
Though pretty dim of them to only have this as a cover story.

I have reported it to the Police.
Hugh, black male and white female. The male didn't have any front teeth.

Sounds odd. Surely after a couple of attempts they would realise the property is not empty?

No, been here over three years and I know the previous occupants didn't include a Katie.

Random sampling by chancers then, standard alertness needed, chain or similar on street door - and ask landlord if intrusion prevention not already there,,,,,.

Well with a description like that at least they're reasonably easy to identify....I've not seen them but will definitely be keeping my eyes open. Which reminds me - I've mean meaning to look again at the thread for Neighbourhood Watch.... I can't say I have the time or inclination to run one but I'd certainly be a more than willing participant.... for me, my neighbours and I have always been on the look out for each other... it's got to be the way to go.... you can't be at home all the time, but between us we're there a good deal of the time.
