Thanks for this good news on the success of the economy in Haringey. This vindicates Conservative government policy and the success of Clare Kober as the Labour leader of Haringey Council. Things will can only better.

The Right To Buy for Housing Associations is a good idea that is popular with voters and housing associations. 86% of housing associations supported it in a poll by the National Housing Federation. 

I like the idea because it helps poor, working people escape poverty and dependence on the unreliable public sector. They benefit from rising prices and are able to pass on wealth to their children. Opponents of the Right To Buy are mean and want to keep the working class poor and dependent on the state for housing. 

David Cameron shows the Right To Buy is a winning idea when he says the cash raised from the sales will help build two new homes for each one sold off by housing associations and local authorities.  

If you want to increase the chance of people on a low income to afford to rent or buy a property, then the best solution is to oppose mass immigration. With at least 330,000 people coming to the UK each year for jobs and a good life, local people are often priced out of low-cost homes and jobs. This is a good reason to vote to leave the EU so local people will get the benefits of our growing economy, not visitors from overseas. 

The shortage of housing is a result of mass immigration in the last ten years as people arrive to benefit from the great economy in the UK while the rest of Europe declines. Immigration helps capitalists and the middle class get richer from cheap labour but it hurts the existing, vulnerable working class.

Sorry I just have to bite this bait of a post....

Do you really believe what you have written? We'll see if the situation changes if/when the UK leaves the EU and what excuses you lot will find to explain it all.

My reading of the situation is that the very immigration people decry is largely responsible for keeping the house prices 'tight' in the South East UK, along with high demand for over-priced, stash-investment properties (mostly high rise 'luxury' apartments) bought by non-EU, cash rich, 'world citizens'. This has and continues to divert investment away from the building of much needed homes for the less well off and families, etc. All the EU professionals coming to London also keep the place vibrant and help the place thrive.

I just cannot see how 'right to buy' can help those who most need it most to get a decent home to live in. Were the HAs not coerced by the government to adhere to this cynical scheme?
