Thanks for the word up.
Checked it out on my return & Road Traffic Management Solutions Limited are dealing with it. I don't think they rocked up till 5PM, considering the problem had been ongoing before 2pm, I guess their thin on the ground on a Saturday. This has caused mayhem for Ladder Residents clogging up roads with traffic.

Wightman has experience persistent horn rage, which must be intolerable.

Apparently the problem was a battery and all three lights are being replaced. Once up and running, the light only move seven cars at a time at best, so if you can avoid a car journey, I would do today.

Gas works seem complete, infilled with hardcore, just need a foot of tarmac now.
This is just a flavour of the chaos we have to look forward to when they start work on the bridge.

Which they will on Tuesday 1 March as stated on the 'temporary traffic lights' warning signs already placed either side of the bridge.

Good work matthew, thanks. Just got stuck in that jam for ages, wouldn't have know what to do in terms of reporting it.
Thanks for reporting this Matthew. I live on Warham and at one point the queue to exit was from Wightmsn back to the river, with lots of accompanying honking of horns.

If the Sainsbury's exit is a further monitor, at 17.30 the queue was back to the recycling area in Sbrys itself, and in the Homebase/etc park it was just about round the entire area.

Walkies for the foreseeable future.....

It's amazing that one tiny excavation (and it is quite small) can bring an entire postcode to a halt.
That will be why it took me an hour to get back from Sainsburys this afternoon!
Sorry to hear you got stuck, I guess as things stand we should bin sainsburys, and do a metro drop, Catherine West campaigned to save M&S Wood Green, but we have the 'Harringay Food Store' and 'Beans & Barley,' (for specialist foods and Eco products,) the rest is available on Green Lanes.

Sainsburys doesn't have a free arcade machine, and I would rather put money in pockets of people who invest in our high street. There is an increasing trend to do bag shopping on the way home from work, so pack the compact bags, and relive roads like Frobisher. We'll all be better off.

It's also shockingly bad that potentially thousands of people have to suffer real inconvenience through to Monday when they could have finished what looks to me like about one hours work to tarmac the two smallish holes that are left. Of course there may be valid reasons why they didn't but I suspect it's just they didn't want to pay overtime rates...

Agreed, holes now filled but temporary lights still working and road cones still in place. Hopefully a return to normal tomorrow. I fear that Antoinette is right, this is just a taste of the chaos to come when the bridge is replaced shortly.
