it is more likely to have been bought by another landlord as there is so much money to be made out of these flea pits if you cram a load of poor people into them, i rent rooms in my home to lodgers and lately i've had whole families answering ads for a room adverised as double room for one! very sad. desperate times. i hope it is turned back into a family home, in my opinion the more of these shabby flea pits that get done up and turned into nice family homes the better for the street and for the area in general, just my opinion as someone with a young child who likes to see more young kids in the area and less pimps, whores and drug dealers!

before i bought mine i viewed one at the top of our road on wightman road that was described as having eleven bedrooms!!!!!! i just had to see how they got eleven bedrooms out of a house same size as the 4 bed houses on warham, the big front upstairs bedroom was divide into three 'cells', with the first one at the top of the stairs getting the single window and the other two having half each of the bay!!!! the rest of the house was similar with the 'living space' being a sofa in the basement 9(which had at least been dug to standing height and was also used as the utility room with washing machine etc.

Houses on the ladder have been going for more than that, even 1 year ago

Of course. Just not grim ones like the one linked.

I viewed number 12 Warham Road. It was amazing.

I shared a room in Camden for £40/week in the 90's , (working in a kitchen earned 70-140 depending on how many hours you worked, @ £3 an hour. Aldi pay 3 times that now.) One place I sub let in East Putney had a coin slot for Hot water (for the shared bathroom in a bed sit,) I guess their called HMO's, it was clean but not this nice. 20 years ago £80/ week would get you a two bed flat in Harringay, our landlord was generous, I never forgot that, I still see him from time to time to see he's alright.

I expect if the council is aware of this dwelling, it may have been forced to be sold. The landlord would have upped the price as he didn't want to sell because of the rental income, but the market has caught up.

You notice the ad says " HMO Certificate to be verified "

Yeah - right !

Was this property compulsory purchased by Haringey Council? It's a similar sum to our new logo...the one that reminds us of where we live and how to spell it. You could buy a lot of red tape for that amount ;)
I'm not convinced it's even sold. Same landlady coming and going since the sold sign went up on Rightmove. This is th property where a blatant and prolific drug dealer was living throughout the summer. It' was like a McDonalds 'drive-thru'.
