Fairland Park open air movies - 12 Sept 2015

Remember this from last year...
Friends of Fairland Park have started organizing this year's Fairland movies. It will be on Saturday 12th of September, come join in if you would like to help make it happen - info.fofp@gmail.com

Based on comments on previous years one thing we'll do differently this year is there will be a bigger screen and PA system.

Last year we did a survey on what movies would be good, the results of that are here.  Any updates on that or other suggestions for a childrens/family movie?

We're also thinking about doing more than one movie, two or even three if they can fit in. If there was another movie, more aimed at grown ups, after the childrens/family movie would you come along to that?

Frozen Fever, Star Wars, Tomorrowland?

I have not seen Star Wars on a big screen since 1977!

2 movies would be just decadence Ant! Sounds like a great idea.

Yeah, a big screen Star Wars or Close Encounters of the Third Kind would be fab. The singalong version of the Sound of Music? Actually any movie that does singalong, you know with the bouncing ball going along the words at the bottom of the screen.

I think Frozen would be perfect for the age of the children who use the park, not everyone in FoFP agreed last year, maybe this year if there are several movies...

Star wars was the overall most popular in the survey we did last year, and with Star Wars Episode VII coming out in December it seems timely, so it could be afterwards.

With a decent projector it can start in day light so i wonder about something like:

4:30 - 6:19: Frozen
6:40 - 8:45: Star Wars
9:00 - finish before 11pm: something for bigger people

Brilliant news thats its back really looking forward to it and hopefully many more.

cant stand star wars- i think it is something you love or hate, mostly people have a pretty strong opinion about it- i would suggest something more inclusive, like the other suggestions- just my thoughts, you can always tell me to shut up
