Fish and Chips on Green Lanes

I know this is being discussed in another current thread, but can we have a dedicated thread for the new fish and chip shop opening on Green Lanes near Harringay Green Lanes station? Yes, we can. Not least because it looks quite big and interesting, eg, restaurant and takeaway.

Toffs in Muswell Hill - not worth the trip (IMHO)

George's - OK (ditto)

Priory Fish Bar - OK (ditto)

New one that might be called Hashtag Fish and Chips - fish fingers crossed that it's excellent.

I really am quite excited.

And I agree with you re George's and Priory - rather variable in quality.

Odd name for a chippy isn't it? Good news though, fingers crossed for quality Fish n Chips. I'm not a fan of George's.

If the former, that's good for the W5 bus to Harringay (if it's not a nosh-as-you-go evening).

Thank you Sally. You wait for a bus chippy and then two come along at once.  I recall the Andreas Fish Bar that was a short walk away on Green Lanes.

do you mean the one onTottenham Lane?   they were nice Greek Cypriots but their food was always disappointing

No, on Green Lanes, corner of Duckett Rd, now occupied by Shamata Cafe. Run latterly by a Chinese family, who cooked good fish and chips.

PS do you know if the Chinese takeaway on  Hanley Rd, at the back of the Old Dairy, is still open - another good place for fish and chips though a bit of a walk from the Ladder.

I disagree about George's. I've had fish and chips from there many, many times and it has always been absolutely delicious. :) The staff are very friendly too.
