It's all on the way, Pav (and number 1 is "Tramp").
Fish and chip place is being fitted out and there's a notice on the door about 'staff wanted'.
Pav, you could come to NHP's Summer Fair this Saturday! We've got jerk chicken and a World Food stall - you can even make your own smoothie by riding a bike!
Wolves Lane Garden Centre is also supplying plants for sale.
The Summer Fair is from 12 -3.30 and is at North Harringay Primary School on Falkland Road. There will be veggie sausages, corn on the cob etc on the barbecue stalls as well as vegetarian meals on the World Food Stall.
We also have raffle prizes donated by local food businesses such as Indika, Blend, Café Lemon and Bun and Bar plus loads more, eg 4 tickets to the filming of League of Their Own and meet and greet with James Corden et al.
OAE is usually there too. What's not to like?
Hi Angela,
Any possibility of having vegan options for the veggie food?
Velo you've missed the Summer Fair, it was last Saturday. But this Sunday the Chestnuts Market includes this stall ' Vegan Tarts & Savouries - VEGAN SWEET TOOTH'
Haldun has put his heart and soudl into the place. It's looking great. I know that he's ordered the signage because I helped him chosoe the font. So it shouldn't be too long now.
He's proving to be a master at the tease style of marketing without even meaning to be!
I bumped into him at the end of last week. He's been sorting out various permissions with the Council. So it sounds like thingsaregetting close.
Originally from the seaside near to Newcastle, I would love a decent fish and chip shop. Hopefully it is good... Haven't yet found anything in London to beat the north-east
There are a few good ones around. Have you tried Golden Union in Poland Street, just south of the junction with Oxford Street? It's designed to be quite basic, but is inescapably London. I find the F&C there to be excellent. Masters in SE1 is a bit more of an authentic chippie and a favourite with - also good fish & chips.
