Hi guys,
Just wanted to share an idea i had in regards to a benefits discussion i watched on the television last night.
In my opinion with exception to disabled people and other people who would not qualify to work any persons claiming benefits because they cannot get a job should do community work in order to be able to collect the benefits at the end of the week?
after all they are looking for work right? theres so many jobs that could be done in the area countless ones.
what are your views?

Yeah i see what your saying...
maybe the councils of each of the London boroughs could each create a number of jobs which need to be done in the local community and employ people who are on benefits to do them.
What would you have the little scamps do to get vouchers for the Food Bank?
So should I put in a few free hours at tesco to get my pension?
are you unemployed? if not are you claiming benefits? if you are claiming benefits is it because you can't find a job? if you answered yes to all these questions then yes you should be doing community work
If you have worked and paid into the system then you will get your pension... i was just talking about benefits
What percentage of the total benefit bill do you think is paid in unemployment benefits?
not all day, benefits for unemployment is 70 pound a week i think, 8 hours a week so 2x 4hr shifts....
I cannot believe people have been so polite to you. My personal philosophy is that everyone should receive enough to live on and be comfortable every year, after all we just print money nowadays. Basic Income. If you think we can't afford it, and you understand what Quantitive Easing is then we're not really going to be friends.
Why would they be rude? its purely a debate to get a range of ideas on a topic which is currently in interest to a lot of people.
I think when people begin to be rude and get aggressive over these topics it just shows a weakness in them.
Its clear that the current benefits system does not work that well and thats why its the topic of every election and debate.
