Campaign group Unite Against Fascism is today holding a peaceful demonstration after the clashes. A statement on the group's Facebook page said: "After a neo-Nazi attack in Markfield Park, Tottenham, North London, yesterday, join a peaceful vigil tomorrow (Monday 23 June), 6 PM at Tottenham Green (opp Tottenham Town Hall); called by UAF. Fascists are not welcome in Tottenham!"

Another rubbish article by the BBC (and Standard) about something happening in Tottenham, read the article on Vice.com, which at least bothered to interview the organisers and has some video footage.

Sorry didn't know about the item on the TV, did it say anything about the insensitivity of fascists meeting/hanging out in a predominantly Jewish community?
Probably didn't ask for permission to show this footage.
Maybe they took it down because they stole it, and the author found out? I hope Andrzej Buzek has been after the BBC, the Standard and Vice for taking it from his page and then adding credits, whether to 'Youtube' which does not hold copyright ever, and 'Vice' have stamped it with their logo. If Mr Buzek wants to contact me, I can advise him how to get paid and what the rates should be. (Hah, I note that the BBC frame grab is credited to Vice now. Maybe Mr Buzek has done a deal with them to distribute it. )

So how did that happen? Lack of evidence? Lost the file?
Pretty sure it was coz it might be judged that an actual assault had not taken place. Hopefully some of them will be convicted tho...
If knocking off someone's skull-cap is not a religiously motivated crime, I don't know what is. Does it have to include actual assault ie causing physical damage? I need to check the law, what is deemed a crime?
A religiously motivated crime might be burning down a mosque, screaming 'kill the jews' while throwing bricks thru a synagogue window..... so while knocking off a yarmulke or a topi or pulling a hijab MIGHT be religiously motivated, it might be hard to prove that. Not saying I think the ****s involved should walk away, only looking at it from the point of 'would a prosecution result'. As far as I understand the law, a religiously motivated crime would be something that would be regarded as a crime anyway, but religious hatred permits a greater sentence to be passed. So if knocking off a hat was deemed an offence, then knocking off a religious hat would attract a higher sentence. Not sure knocking off a hat would be deemed an offence.....
