Is there any chance anyone out there has a wheel trimming tool I might borrow?
I have bust a spoke on my bike, and of course it is one of those tensioned wheels. 35p for the spoke, and £30 for the labour...

No Alison, they are like a pair of callipers, and as you tighten an individual spoke it slightly changes the shape of the wheel (from round to oval, and in and out of true from side to side). When you tighten a spoke you run the wheel round to see if it touches the callipers to see if you need to tighten it up any more... I looked for some images but could not find any, must be using the wrong search words...
Hi Justin, you can do it in the bike. Take the tyre and tubes off and re-insert wheel, then use the brake blocks as your guide.
Yes, had not thought of that but I have a disk brake, though I might be able to rig something up though, not a bad idea...
