Cheered me up no end!

Agreed - comment removed.

I think some of the replies here, are  intended to inflame and upset.

If you liked her, then move on from this post.  No problem.

But for many others, her death is a great symbol.  And there was much rejoicing

Shame I missed all the street parties last night.  Which clearly shows you, my views are mirrored.

Not waiting til Saturday!

We can, I hope, all agree that Margaret Thatcher inspired strong feelings.

A fact sensitively recognised today by blogger Diamond Geezer

That photo is not photoshopped!  I had to check.

I hope, Pam, you also glanced at the comments added to Diamond Geezer's posting.

On hearing the news my first reaction was to see it fairly dispassionately. The death in a hotel of an elderly woman with Dementia. But then her sycophants jostled into the queue to praise her in the media. Almost always spotlighting their own part in her "achievements", of course.

Reawakening my visceral hatred for all of them.

familiar?

Well done Glenda, someone in parliament with integrity.

Celebrating someone's death is really low and undignified. Say what you like about her politics, and you all do, but she is now dead, and she was someone's mother and grandmother. Show some respect for the family if nothing else.

Do you mean her son, who was running around Africa, trying to sell illegal nuclear weapons for a coup in Guinea?
Or the daughter, who was kicked out of the BBC for her racism, when she was'nt prepared to apologize over it.

Thing is, evil, bad people, dont get good send off's.

Noone respected Saddam's or Gaffidas family, cos they were seen as bad people.  Yet I remember much celebrating at their deaths.
