Hi Maggie

How right you are! It is no joke as we see the welfare state dismantled by this terrible government. As a Labour Councillor I fervently hope that these attacks on our social system are reversed in 2015 should we win the general election.  Alan and I saw Spirit of 45 yesterday which told the story of the birth of the modern welfare state. Incredibly moving with stories from fantastic people. The tragedy is that the clock is going backwards to the pre-welfare state and it looks like many people don't seem to appreciate what we are losing.

Labour Cllr, St. Ann's Ward

so what's the Labour party doing about it then??? This is too easy: bashing not acting. It's infuriating. It's not surprising we see such a high level of abstention.
