Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just wanted to give people a head up about Hudson Bicycles, which is run by Mark Hudson from his house on Frobisher Road.

Took my road bike in for a service this week - left it with him on Monday night and picked it up on Tuesday night. He had taken everything apart, cleaned, greased etc and reassembled, and replaced/fixed a couple of broken parts, all for what I thought was a very reasonable price.

Much better service (and more convenient) than taking it in to one of the big chain stores.

If anyone wants contact details, feel free to drop me a line. I believe he is also making the occasional appearance at Harringay Market, so you might be able to catch up with him there.

There's also a new bicycle shop, Micycle, opened up on Ferme Park Road just opposite Londis and next to the Nicholas Nickleby pub.  It's local - run by my neighbours.

I bought one of my current bikes from Micycle in Islington. I remember when I was chatting to the guy who ran it that he said he lived in Crouch End. I bought my bike not long after it opened and I've been back a few times for servicing and so on and they've always been very helpful and friendly.

It's actually nearer then Crouch End - it's Stroud Green, so just a hop over the railway at the footbridge and turn left down Stapleton Hall Road.  Then turn sharp right up Ferme Park Road.  I've heard they're helpful and they serve good coffee which is great if you are waiting for a bus!
