What To Do With Your Green Recycling Bin

Just saw the latest Ladder Community Safety Partnership Minutes... This may be of interest if you are stuck with an old green recylcing bin.

Green Boxes will no longer be used for recycling after 18th June.  Some residents may wish to keep these boxes for other storage purposes, but if you would like to recycle yours then help is at hand!  You can take your unwanted box to The Gardens Community Garden, located in Doncaster Gardens, (off Stanhope Gardens, N4) between 16th June and 15th July.

There are a couple dumped under a tree on the footpath at the west end of Frobisher Rd you could help yourself to.

Thanks all-

we have set this up as we recognised that the green boxes were not being collected by Veolia and so being left with households to dispose of them.

I have managed to get funding direct from veolia to pay for 2000 postcards which have been delivered by the GRA and LCSP to adrresses near to the " Community Garden". Collecting seems to be going well with about 40 boxes to date and 30 in the first weekend

We will stop collecting on Sunday 15th July - so please if you dont want your box bring it to us and we will recycle / redistribute them out and give them another life

Deliver to the "Gardens Community Garden" (GRA) Doncaster Gardens, off Stanhope Gardens, N4 1HX between 9am to 7pm 7 days a week till sunday 15rh July

We've decided to keep our to store bits and bobs in our rather damp cellar. If you drill a few holes they make brilliant veg planters.
