Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A recent Gumtree advert that described a newly listed property as a "stunning bedsit" included the picture above and the description:

"The flat has been recently refurbished to a high standard and it has a fitted kitchen inside."

Smallbone is it?

Love the fact they've called it Harringay Green Lines. They must have been using an old Google map.

IEE Guidance Note 1 on selection and erection of a hob/oven recommends that the minimum distance from a sink top (including the draining board) for accessories is 300mm.

It looks like the electricity meter is right under the hob. Perfect storm?

When I used to work in Camden's private sector housing team I visited a "flat" where the bed was built above the cooker which was next to the open plan toilet.
I'm in Paris at the moment and saw an apartment advertised in an estate agents in the 9th arrondissement yesterday (in a street by the very lovely Gare St-Lazare) that was 7 square metres for 300,000 euros!

Glad to hear you're taking a bit of HoL along with your croissants and grand cafe creme or are you more on an expres man?

I'm now in Charles de Gaulle airport waiting for a flight to Newcastle and sipping a noisette. Checking out HoL beats endless vista to Le Sock Shop any day.

The brave man does it with a sword........

Ah, nostalgia.

Nostalgia's not what it used to be

Looks like a deathtrap-and under 100 quid a week- bargain! I feel so sorry for folk out there looking for a place to live these days that is affordable and safe. Sharing a bathroom with 3 strangers too... makes me realise again how fortunate I am.

Horrid...

I think that's the same oven I've got in mine... ;-)

The stories I could tell about my flat-hunting over the last couple of months. So glad I finally found a place now!

Yaay.
