Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

THE INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE IS NO LONGER UP TO DATE AND SHOULD BE CHECKED BEFORE TRAVELLING

Haringey residents can now recycle small electronic items at a number of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) banks located throughout the Borough.

The WEEE banks installed by the North London Waste Authority in conjunction with DHL Envirosolutions will make it easier for residents to recycle small electrical items that are broken or unwanted, such as kettles, irons, electronic toys, phones, remote controls, toasters, radios and hair dryers.

Small electrical items deposited in the banks will be sent for reuse or recycling.

Residents can find a WEEE bank for their small electrical items at the following locations:

  • Endymion Road, Finsbury Park gates, N4 1EE
  • West Green Road, near Caversham Road, N15 3QW
  • Wolesley Road, junction with Park Road, N8 8DP
  • Park Road, junction with Cranley Gardens, N8 8JH
  • Bounds Green Road, near Passmore Gardens, N11 2HA
  • High Road, opposite Ferndale Road, N15 6JN
  • Sheldon Avenue, near Aylmer Road, N6 4NJ
  • Colney Hatch Lane, N10 1QE
  • Jarrow Road, near W4 bus stop, N17 9PP
  • High Road, near junction with Cedar Road, N17 0DA

Larger items such as televisions, computer monitors, fridges and washing machines can be recycled through Haringey Council’s bulky waste collection service. Contact the Veolia Haringey Contact Centre on 020 8885 7700 or email:enquiries.haringey@veolia.co.uk

Or of course for larger (or smaller) items you can go to the dump (sorry, recycling centre) on Hornsey High Street down the side of the old baths just down the hill a bit from the Top House (The Great Northern Railway Tavern).

They take everything and it's very close to the ladder.  Closes at 4pm every day.

Thanks, this is very useful to know.

This is good news. But when will they start taking paint again at the Harringey Recycling Centre on HHS?
