Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've had enough of the filth on the corner of Seymour and Green Lanes (I don't mean Zams but that's not too flash either). Its three things: fly tipping every morning around the little tree; idiots deliberately feeding pigeons; and, most of all, people urinating on the electrical boxes (mostly, but not exclusively, blokes).

I've spoken, nicely, to some of the culprits but you can imagine the responses.

What can I do? Would the council erect some signs if I could show evidence over time to demonstrate the problem or would I be wasting my time asking?

I know that all Ladder Roads have littering and dumping problems but Seymour's is truly awful. I sometimes take a shortcut from Warham via The Passage and down Seymour and 9 times out of 10 it's verminous at the junction with Green Lanes (really verminous, I spotted a dead rat once).

Someone (or someones) is doing this persistently. If Karen, David or Gina pick this up can they ask the street enforcement team to monitor what is happening and try to trace who is doing it (I'm sure many of us have our suspicions)
Have "shared" this with all three Michael.
I noticed that the street enforcement guys were having a "chat" with some of the Zams staff regarding the amount of bin bags they had left outside of the shop a couple of weeks ago, I have also noticed that full bin bags have started to creep up Seymour - connected?
Realised when walking up Seymour this morning why there may be a lot of bin bags around the GL/SR junction. The 4 properties which are on the corner (i.e. on Seymour Road but numbered as if on Green Lanes - 547 a,b,c and d - or something similar) do not have any outside space to store a wheelie bin, so I suspect they are just putting their full bin bags directly on to the pavement - I also suspect that the amount of litter on the road and pavement, as well as being a result of fly tippers and Zams clientèle, is as a result of foxes raiding these bin bags during the night (it happened to us the other day when we left a bin bag outside of the wheelie bin when full, made a right mess).

Is there something that the council could do about this? Maybe supply these properties with one of the large bins that you often see outside of shops like this ?
With regard to the properties on Green Lanes (corner of Seymour), they don't need a bin, they just need to put their rubbish out at the correct collection times on Green Lanes itself. The bin men don't pick it up if they leave it in the head roads.

All the enforcement officers need to do is be sure that they are clear about the schedules and pay them a follow up visit if they continue to dump in the side streets. Their landlord could also help by ensuring that they are clear about how to dispose of rubbish from the flats.
Gee, Dorothy, this landscape's starting to look very familiar! Do you think the yellow brick road might be a circle?
Look! there's Steve Hatch again, still offering to put Haringey leaflets in his buyers' and lessees' welcome packs.
Liz, they leave it around the corder apparently, on Seymour Road itself.
Katy, they do put their bins out, i have seen them, but failed to see exactly which address the man came from. Surely this goes against all sorts of regulations?

I totally agree, the end of our road is horrible, and the bread that's always thrown out on to the zam's chicken side is horrid! When it rains it looks like a big puddle of sick, and it attracts vermin.

The people urinating are mainly customers from the Lion King. They're also responsible for the lovely bottles and cans being left around there. I'm also not too pleased about the group of men that tends to hang out outside there, it's not nice when I'm waling up the road on my own.

The bottom of Seymour Road needs a tidy up. A CCTV camera would be a great start, we'd see the litterbugs, the pigeon feeders and also catch the idiots who drive down the road the wrong way!
A camera will also make people think twice (hopefully!) about doing their dodgy business outside the Lion King.
I saw a rather large rat running up Seymour road this afternoon, I wish I'd had my camera on me.
Nooooo! Gross. Where? Bet its living in the massive nest of rubbish outside no. 76.
Get your bow and arrow out.

Eating rat is a delicacy (for some)
This morning's little mountain, complete with it's own little stream of "liquid" running out of one of the bags down the pavement:
