The long route stitches together sections of other, approved as safe, bus routes, with bus stops.
Alexandra Road would be getting a doubledecker bus every 8 minutes or so, from 0600 to 0100, for five days straight when it gets none now. Somewhat intrusive on a narrow residential street.
I recall there being complaints some years ago when Mayes Rd/Hornsey Park Rd was used as a bus cut-through, on that basis and on the reduced width of the road by (poorly) parked cars.
I suspect the angle to enter Alexander Road from the High Road is too acute for a full size bus.
I'd tend to agree, although it creates an inconsistency to me.
If it's not good enough for buses, it should not be considered good enough for HGVs either.
The westbound 144 bus is also diverted, at Wood Green to run via the W3 to the foot of Muswell Hill, thus not serving High Road or Turnpike Lane Stn in that direction. Diversion scheduled to end on Friday, 18th.
I tried to go by bus over to Archway today. The service seems like a complete mess. I gave up, Ubered there and came back via the Barking Line.
