Took these photos an hour ago, Oakfield road N4. The protest is about whether the tree is damaging private property or not and should this perfectly healthy 100yo tree be felled.

ha ha john you're no oil painting yourself. seriously, this tree is in perfect health, could you post an image of what a healthy london plane tree should look like ?
It's such a shame. Unfortunately the council seem to default to tree removal when there is a risk of damage to residents property.
Brian could you inform us more on the details of damage caused because we can't find any evidence of damage to anyones property by this tree. many thanks.
How would I know Jim?
.
What is the damage that is mentioned on the notice?
hi Josephine. there is no damage only potential damage that hasn't happened yet and in our opinion will not. hope this helps
Confusingly, the notice says "it has been implicated in damage" so I had assumed the damage had been done.
Because of 'heave and drop'. We live on very wet clay which shrinks and expands seasonally. Some postcodes cannot access house insurance. haringey decides the best way to make this all go away is to fell this healthy tree in our community that was planted while the houses were being built. It's our tree not yours haringey council. end of rant ha ha
