Black wheelie bin swap
Anyone on the Ladder or Gardens want to swap a smaller black general waste wheelie bin for a larger standard sized 240L version? I want to downsize.

Can you not still order them from the council? I got one a few years ago, and a smaller recycling bin as well.

But this Veolia article makes the whole issue of permitted bin sizes sound quite draconian.

I remember having to answer questions about how many people lived in the property etc, which I thought were rather intrusive... if I know I can manage perfectly well with smaller bins, even when the household was up to three people, then they should be encouraging us to create less waste. My front garden doesn't look like a bin yard, and it must be easier for the collectors.
