Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi - long shot, but if anyone came across £200 cash sticking out of the Barclays ATM on Green Lanes just after 5pm, would you message me please? There’s a finders fee of course.

Cash that is not retrieved after a short period is usually sucked back into the machine. If you haven't already done so it might be worth going into the branch to see if they had too much cash in the ATM at the end of the day. You might be lucky but I expect one of the enterprising characters on Green Lanes is dining out tonight (takeaway of course).

Stav beat me to it but yes exactly this.

Good point to contact bank - thanks. But yeah, likely outcome is that someone is a little happier now than they were an hour ago.

it happened to me twice. once me finding the money (and returning to the bank, obviously) and once someone finding the cash I left behind and kindly handed it over to the branch. Hopefully they handed it in or bank cancelled operation if taken too long! Good Luck!

Oh that’s very good luck!

Sadly the bank closes at 2pm, cutting my odds considerably.

Thanks for all the advice and moral support, guys. Very much appreciated.

Yep, rushing and lost in thought

I once found fifty quid sticking out. I took the money out in surprise and then after taking out my own withdrawal, I just stood there and a minute later a panicked looking man came running towards the machine. Phew!

I hope it has been sucked back in; I was purposefully distracted by someone coming too close to the ATM some time ago and I froze rather than take the waiting cash, however the machine did suck the cash back in and I got it from the bank later after they found that there was excess in the 'till' for that day.

Amazingly, considering how bustling and busy green lanes is, my cash was sucked back into the ATM and credited back to my account. Cannot believe how lucky that is! Thanks for the advice and moral support, everyone

Woohoo. Good news for a change

So glad! Because I was going to say I tried to get £400 out once (ahead of a house move, in case I needed it) and it didn't come out of the machine.

It took over 2 months and lots of phone calls to the bank to get my money back.

Good news story,  lets face it we need them at the moment, nice one
