Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Guy Fawkes Night is always a good time to get rid of the accumulated pile of prunings, brambles and other woody detritis. This year the flames shot up twenty feet or more.  We usually burn an effigy of some egregious individual and this year the choice of victim was delegated to a six year old.  I thought he might choose the big bad wolf or Cruella De Ville but he came up with Trump holding a model corona virus.  What ever happened to the myth of happy untroubled childhood?

In this mild weather all manner of food can still be found as well as typical autumnal sights.

Your garden is simply beautiful. And your wonderful maybe precocious judge sounds that he could have a great future as a comedian.

Wonderful pics Dick but what is the vegetable/plant below the brussel sprouts?

Sorry Pat, somehow  I missed your post.

In fact those are the seeds of an iris bursting out of the dried seed pods.
