I live on the Ladder and for the past few weeks the bell has been ringing between 7-9pm, I finally went down to see and it was a guy from 'Field & flower' trying to sell one of their delivery subscriptions, it caught me off guard and before I knew I had told him which flat he had rang.
He was wearing a branded apron and a name tag, which I know are easy to make anywhere but I'm wondering if anyone else opened the door to him/them
I've seen another thread regarding a man selling fish and flowers but now I'm thinking if this is something worth reporting to the police.
Thank you

There is a company called Field and Flower. Don’t know if it’s the same outfit the chap was trying to get you to sign up to
Thanks Michael, the first thing I did was google them and contacted them to ask if they had salesmen working late at night but I'm yet to get an answer, I might be a bit paranoid but just wanted to see if any one else spoke to them last night and if they were for real or just checking if houses were empty during the holiday.
I spoke to one of them yesterday and didn't have any reason to suspect any such thing beyond the annoyance of cold calling. He had come earlier at 4 something PM though and returned after 7 as agreed to follow up on our conversation. For some reason I decided to talk to him, usually I'm not interested in any cold callers and have a sign saying so. He was young and enthusiastic and probably took a chance calling at other homes upon returning.
For the record, I don't think anyone should be cold calling past 7pm.
That was just yesterday though.
Did you mean someone's been ringing your bell regularly between 7 and 9? Did you even open / see who it was on other occasions?
Thanks Shariq, I messaged the company on Twitter and the founder reply stating that his marketing team had indeed been in the area and that they were only returning after 8 to pre-arranged visits, I guess similar to your experience. He was very apologetic and agreed that no one should be cold calling late at night. It gave me the peace of mind I was looking for.
I've heard the bell rang a few times between 7-9 in the past weeks but our intercom is broken and I live at the top so not always make it down to check.
Thanks for your reply
Hi Cosette. I have also had someone buzzing my flat around this time a couple of times recently. I haven't responded to it though so I am not sure who it was. Could be the same person I guess
Hi KP, yes I guess it could be cold callers, I was just worried that might be people checking on empty houses, my top flat doesn't have a window to the street so sometimes might look like the house is empty if there are no lights but all seems to be OK regarding the salesman that visited this week. :)
