Finsbury Park is 150 years old this year, and the council has got together with various stakeholders to celebrate the anniversary with a series of free events over the next couple of weeks. Here are a few highlights:
Thursday 1st August 12:00 to 5pm: Play Day including the opening of the new over 8s play area, games. climbing wall, bouncy castle, pony rides, face painting and more.
Saturday 3rd August 12:00 to 9pm: La Clave Fest, a free festival showcasing the best of UK-based Latin and Spanish music and dance, plus Latin street food and bars
Monday 5th August from 7:30pm: Outdoor cinema with free screening of Dirty Dancing (registration required)
Saturday 10th August 12:00 to 5:30pm: Community Day with fun fair, food & drink, bouncy castle, pony rides, sports, entertainment and stakeholder mini events. Part of the sesquicentennial summer festival which runs Friday 9th to Sunday 11th August.
