Poetry and Spoken Word springs into life with the ever so popular Poetry and Poppadums on 18 January 2019. Featuring the “delightfully inventive” John Hegley, “funny and moving” Asher Hoyles, hosted by “playfully absurd” Paul Lyalls. The poppadums won’t stop there- it returns on Friday 15th March at 8pm, £5, doors and dining from 18:30.

Highlights include monthly residency by Tristan Mailliot (drummer) bringing his Quartet with Tom Ridout (saxophonist – BBC Young Musician 2016 Jazz Award Finalist), Chris Eldred (pianist) and Flo Moore (bassist); The Loire Funk Project with the formidable Gareth Lockrane (flautist) “…a stunning display of sharp-accented runs, earthy whoops and constantly refreshed melodic ideas” (John Fordham, The Guardian).

We’ve reserved Saturdays for monthly Collage Kids (under 8s) children’s theatre in Karamel. Featuring Circle of Two on 26th January, and monthly instalments of Paul Lyalls, Janina, and Gunpowder Gertie, followed by our 5th annual Family Fun Day on 18th May.
