Hi, i'm currently stripping 120 years of awful paint from my stair banister, spindles and newel post. The intention is to bring them back to the original wood and probably treat them with beeswax or something similar.
I've made a solid start but it's taking forever... and i'm about ready to throw in the towel, admit defeat, and call in the pros to get it finished.
I need my weekends back! And my other half isn't too pleased with my over ambitious attempts at DIY.
So i was hoping someone on here has undertaken a similar job and used a handyman or a decorator they would recommend.
Please, my sanity is depending on it!

Hi,
Jamol could do this - 07404523870 - He has done a lot of work for people on HOL and has a great attention to detail.
C
Thanks
I'll give him a ring
fingers crossed!
If you do want to do it yourself the best option would be an infrared heat gun to strip the paint. Something like this https://www.linseedpaint.com/products/speedheater-cobra-110v although there are cheaper options available
