Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Students at Hornsey School for Girls staged a sit down protest against the education cuts in their playground this morning. The school gates were then locked and no-one was being allowed to leave. The police were also called.

Several students who left earlier were approached by the police at Turnpike Lane station who were asking which school they attended and where they were going and why.

Che Guevara. Lucky it wasn't a quote from Fidel. Would have covered the entire street.
At the risk of sounding ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by feelings of love.
You may, Michelle, be a bit less comfortable with the rest of the paragraph from the letter which Chris cleverly quotes.
"If this inarticulate letter clarifies anything . . ." it may be that Che should have stuck to diaries, motorbikes and a bit of medicine. But then he probably didn't mean it to fit on a tee-shirt or even a bedroom wall.
That's not the Milibands old school, OAE. They knocked that fine old Victorian building down and PFI built a lovely conference centre new school there. Probably because had good conference facilities and good rates for hiring (says the woman who used to work both in the old Victorian Miliband school and the brand new PFI one)
So that's it, Liz. I knew you'd have the answer to anything haverstockian.
Now Camden School for Girls Sixth Form join the protests with a '24 hour teach-in'.

She should contact the Frontline Club. They know a thing or two about journalism.
Not Haringey, but in the neighbourhood - the Sixth Form Centre of City+Islington College at the Angel was mysteriously shut today, with a terse message appearing on the candi website. Rumour has it that the building was closed by management when it was discovered that an occupation was planned. 'Regular services will resume from Thursday 09 December 2010'. I somewhat doubt it.

On Thursday some (many?) students from the Camden Road site will be marching to join the main demo, leaving at 11.30 to join others at ULU at noon, and thence onto Parliament. Lectures have been rescheduled. All cameras and video cams are booked out. An excellent way to teach law, history, sociology, citizenship, and Unit2: Pre-Production Planning for the Media Industries.

Anyone know what's happening at CoNEL?
Charles & Camilla given a right royal variety performance - Christmas tree set on fire in Trafalgar Sq:

which of these events is the clearest harbinger of the long delayed glorious revolution? My republican heart's beginning to warm to these students. I hope to hear that the Hornsey and Camden gals had a hand in both.
This taken by my daughter last month:

and this from tonight from Associated Press:

'OMG Charles what are those peasants doing banging our car?! Don't they know who we are?'

'It's alright darling, probably just a few football hooligans fed up with Chelsea losing. I'm sure the police will lock them up and give them a good thrashing. Now lets enjoy the show and quaff some champs'

[ A window was cracked and their car hit by paint, but the couple were unharmed.]
