Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I am sure many residents in Harringay will have enjoyed the recent flourish of arts activities in Hornsey Town Hall. Recently Haringey Council voted to sell the premises, car park and green space in front of HTH to the highest bidder. An action group has been formed to permit local representatives to manage the premises for community interest; ie to retain its current emphasis on arts and community events. If you wish Hornsey Town Hall to continue as a focus for the arts etc rather than being sold off to a developer then please sign the petition (see link) below.

And please spread the word.

If 1,000 sigs are not received in the very near future Haringey Council do not have to formally acknowledge this appeal. Thank you in anticipation.

We at Hornsey Town Hall Appreciation Society need your help!

We've been working hard over the last few months working to try to save Hornsey Town Hall and Square from being sold off to a private developer and brought into community ownership instead.

Now we need to show the council that people in Crouch End back our campaign for Community Asset Transfer and pausing the sale process (due to launch imminently) until this has been properly considered.

Please could you take a few moments to:

- Sign this petition http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/save-hornsey-town-halland share it with everyone you know
- If you represent an organisation, email HTHAppreciationSociety@gmail.com to add your name to this open letter to the council
- Get in touch with us (HTHAppreciationSociety@gmail.com) if you or anyone you know can help us put together a viable business plan - we're going to need lawyers, business planners, accountants, venue managers etc.
