Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

My Edwardian tiled hallway has collapsed in the middle through heavy use. The tiles seem to be laid on a layer of lime/concrete without any other support. I’ve trawled the internet for info but found little. Tile restorers just replace and clean- I obviously need something more structural done. Does anyone have any experience of this happening? Have you found a builder/tradesperson to fix the problem? Any help with this would be appreciated.

When we moved into our place, the tiles were carpeted over and we discovered a similar collapsed bit with basically a small hole into the sub-floor. These guys fixed that and restored the rest of it, so worth a call if they’re not already on your radar.

Hi- thanks very much for this- I’ve made contact with the company so hopefully on the way to a resolution.

Might be an idea to consider installing underfloor heating for your hallway at this time.. ready for connection to your existing heating system at a later date.
