Joe, sorry, the above reads harsher than intended.
I just want your plan fully thought out, and assume you already have.
As I said, I assume your argument has already won the day but want to know in detail how it will effect the wider area.

Joe just read your post from yesterday re mitigation ( I was away so missed it)
Interesting ( I see your traffic light phasing) but it's still a bit woolly.
I'm specifically interested in your plans east, north east and southwest re traffic movements and the knock on effects.
I have clients and suppliers west of Wightman as well. So have to travel that way. It'll mean having to join the traffic on GL, endymion and turnpike (unless I abandon 25 year relationships)
I would of coarse use the gardens if I could but those have already been locked down.

A post has been started on the Crouch End Facebook group alerting local motorists to the potential closure of their favourite rat ran over the other side of the tracks and urging them to respond to the consultation. I wonder if this is what it was like on Easter Island towards the end.

Fair play to them - the closure last summer had major effects in Crouch End.

It seems to be an prediction of traffic flows should option 4 be implemented. I would imagine that at least some of this data was gathered from observations taken during the closure.
In fairness, I'm not sure why the junction at Highgate station would be affected.

But.... Westbury Ave! What magic will they be able to conjure with the traffic lights or have they resigned themselves to closing that too?

I imagine one day we'll rue the lack of bin lorries.

Not the "bin lorry" that hurtled down Lausanne Rd at 6:30 or so this morning.
When we say "closed" and Joe says "Filtered" we mean the same thing but it's just "closed to through traffic", the bin lorries will still get there but they won't be using it as an early morning cut through over the speed humps.

BTW I wasn't aware you had a massive bin lorry problem, do you get them more than once a week then?

6:30 again this morning and again at 7:10 or so. There's been a massive HGV problem with not just council lorries but they seem to be the ones I can do nothing about. Here is a link to all the discussions over the years tagged HGV.
