Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Its the Harringay Lantern Parade this Saturday and at the Fairland park end start we usually have someone dressed up as Father Christmas wandering around giving out sweets to the children. But at the last minute our man can't do it now!

We have a Santa suit. We have a sack and lots of chocolates. All we need is someone who can come to Fairland Park about 3:15pm this Saturday, don the suit, wander about giving out the sweets, and maybe the occasional ho ho ho. Everyone who's done it in the past has enjoyed themselves. Free mulled wine and waffles.

...or woman! Mother Christmas does half the work but doesn't get the kudos.

is that you volunteering Maggie? You are more than welcome.

Thanks Ant but I think it needs someone more able to fill the red suit!

I could fill it amply but I'm singing carols with the Tottenham Community Choir outside the Salisbury at about 4 pm. Hope you'll all come along and join in

Nice to see the joined up thinking/planning going on. Give them my regards.

I think the idea was the Lantern Parades would end up at the Salisbury for the carols.

Happy days, we have a Santa. Thank you Andrew!

Come along to Fairland Park tomorrow at 3:15pm for the start of the Harringay Lantern Parade. Brass band, choir, and fire performer, along with very reasonably priced refreshments including hot chocolate, mulled wine, warm samosas and freshly made waffles for just £1. We're trying to be better organized this year so you shouldn't have to queue so much for the refreshments.

Hope to see you there.
