Volunteers to Help Teach English

A voluntary group meets every Staurday morning 10-12.30 to teach English to Spanish speakers who have arrived in the UK. The group has been going for over the year but due to unforseen circumstances we have lost some of our teachers!

The group is made out of volunteers only and we are currently looking to recruit one to four teachers who would be able to teach for 30mins to an hour on a saturday morning! If we have more volunteers we can rotate who teaches every saturday and thus make the commitment less demanding. Ideally we would like native speakers with some teaching experience (alhtough this is not necessary)- the group provides a rough guide of topics to cover, but we ask teachers to plan their own sessions. 

The classess are up to 20 students of different ages and nationalities but with an incredible will to learn.

The classes take place in the Bridge Renewal Community Hut, only a short walk from Chestnuts Park.
