I received two canvas sample bags this morning, they seem very sterdy and shall bring them to the next HOL SG meeting on the 17th so you can cop a feel.

Brilliant Birdy. Great to raise awareness for the bags early on. Hopefully HoL will get some more feedback and support on the back of this article. Looking forward to "copping a feel" (uh-of the bags!) on 17th!

It's surprising how much the Journal sources from this site. The guy who called me on this one is new, Ralph somneone. So they obviously get put on to us as a source pretty quick.

'those damn blue bags', I said that laughing down the phone, needs to be taken in context : )

Shef is involved in the loop now so hopefully he and other traders can come on board and have a say and most importantly support the drive for less carrier bags whilst encouraging people to use local shops and support local businesses whilst strengthening the Harringay brand.

There's no way Harringay is a 'brand' and it never will be. It's not an area that can be treated so simply. In fact to do so would be an insult.

I work in branding, it's this years must have b******t word. To be frank Harringay does need work on it's branding as outsiders are confused with the borough and town not helped by the council.

OK but 'brand' is a concept that has been around for decades and is too crass a word to use. Otherwise I do understand your point and aims.
