Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Would you believe it! This morning as I left the house at 5:50am into the beautiful, silent, snowy world, just a couple of metres from the front gate was a freshly laid, steaming dog turd!

The pristine white landscape was shattered by this hineous crime, evidenced by a trail of footprints and paw prints. The turd laid there in its unusual environ as if proud, even happy to be there.

I'm now tempted to purchase high pinch sounders and install them so as to have them beaming along the pavements. The children of North Harringay Primary are absolutely fed up with finding their shoes covered in shit. These dog walkers are plain selfish.

Hmmm, this might make a good Make the Difference bid.

Enough is enough! This is war. :)

You should have picked up the turd, followed the tracks in the snow and pressed it into the offender's hand saying "I think this is yours "
or pop it through the offender's letterbox (make sure you've got a bag before doing this though!)
Yuk - when I saw the title of this post, I feared you might be including a picture... thanks for not doing so!
But wasn't it beautifully silent this morning? Only the tracks of the milk float on Warham Road and the hiss of the falling snow.

I struggled up Wightman to the train station and had a brilliant snowball fight with two little Somali kids at 7:30 (they won), followed by a handing round of chocolate biscuits at the station while us three idiots waited for the train. If only all days could be like this!
Oh John if only time had allowed!!

Yes is was a great day Michael. Ended up with lots of neighbours building a huge snowman in the grounds of
the local school. :)

See you at the pub Alistair!
There are always the remnants of dog turd close to your front gate or by the school gates - I assume it is the same owner who is refusing to pick this up. There is a fair chance this person also lives close on Falkland. How about trying an experiment when the snow has cleared? When we have a dry spell, try sprinkling some chiili powder around the area from your front gate to the school gates and see if this makes a difference, I hear that some canines are put off by this scent. That is not to say that this dog won't choose to crap somewhere else close by, but at least it won't be in the path of hundreds of children.
OK, you buy the big pot of chilly powder!! :)
done
How annoying! I am a dog owner myself, and I have been known to hand out poop bags to people who must have "forgotten" theirs. I was particularly outraged last year when everyday for around two weeks we had a dog turd layed in our front garden!! After my husband and I started plotting hidden cameras etc, we finally just replaced our gate.
