Right then, I'm off to Sainsbury's to panic buy bread and milk. Isn't that what we're supposed to do in situations like this ?
Yep. Staying home is the wisest choice. My wife's school is shut, and I can work from home rather than slog in to town. Perfect Monday as far as I'm concerned. Weatherman expect tomorrow morning to be worse (or better, depending on which way you look at it)
What's a VPN John?
Quick translate - 'a way of using your office network from the comfort of your own home' (provided that not too many colleagues have got the same idea and it has got overloaded)
Ah, gotcha! Was hoping it wasn't some kind of male version of the VPL ..
Sadly, I managed to make it into work. Walked to Finsbury Park tube via the park - quite pleasant for a change. Got on a tube immediately and at work as usual. Very strange having no buses around.
O dear, Martha's post making me feel like a total lightweight for skulking at home. I also just heard that the overground service (Harringay, Hornsey etc) is working fine ..
Alison - just hope I can get home again!!
Yes, good point. Good luck!
This picture is from the bridge over to Harringay station, no?
