The Wightman Road Residents' Groups was excluded. A curious decision given the current controversies.

I agree with you on this Antoinette however the people who run meetings, send out minutes and otherwise engage with the various branches of our local government disagree. Is it that we are lazy and ineffectual or that they are the establishment and therefore have something to lose. As time goes by I tend to believe the former sadly.
As a stakeholder group do we know how HoL will ensure it represents the views of all its 'members' as it's odds on there is unlikely to be unanimity?
Let's hope it will be more open and effective than the Finsbury Park Stakeholder Group .
The top of the ladder seems to be only represented by groups against the current closure (The Mosque and St John's). North Harringay school is not included. The Friends of Duckett's Common are not included. The Friends of Fairland Park are not included.
The Friends of Harringay Passage are not included either which gives me some clue as to why those groups have not been included. There's a real Balkanisation of community groups in Harringay.
In my view the whole approach of having this steering group with selective membership and secret goings on is flawed. It serves no purpose other than continuing to pit residents and groups against each other as has happened with the past traffic management changes.
Having everyone join greenlanesareatransportstudy would at least get everyone in one place talking together as equals, and surely that is what should happen if we are to come up with solutions which have broad community support?
Presumably its Justin going along as the LCSP rep representing me (though he hasn't yet admitted this to me). What I've said above is what I want him to be saying at the first steering group meeting on Wednesday where they will be talking about the membership.
But how will locals who have spent DECADES cultivating special relationships with those in power, backed by their meeting running capabilities, receive the representation their hard work and charm deserves?
I had an extra paragraph in that post which has been removed. I'll say it again here slightly reworded:
No one seems happy with the steering group make up either. One of the RA groups which have been invite onto the steering committee are considering boycotting it as they don't like the makeup. As John points out the north of Harringay is particularly discriminated against. None of the groups that I am active in have been included.
I've now seen the email from this RA complaining about the membership. They too feel under-represented although really I don't think they have a leg to stand on.
Yes Ant, it was removed at the request of the RA group concerned who told me that you had published details given in a conversation they had asked to be kept private. The RA rep told me he was going to contact you about it, give you feedback on your actions and let you know that your comment had been deleted at his request. I assume he did so.
