Hi folks! We at St Paul's, Harringay are organising a 24 Hour Sponsored Hymnathon in aid of All People All Places, the charity that runs the Haringey and Enfield Churches Winter Night Shelter. The night shelter works on a rotational basis in churches of a variety of denominations to provide a place to stay, food, essentials like pants and socks, and help and advice to get the homeless guests back on their feet.
The Hymnathon is simple - participants will play and sing hymns for 24 hours from 1pm on Friday, 22 April to 1pm on Saturday, 23 April. If you'd like to join in, you can sign up by emailing me at harringayhymnathon@gmail.com - you don't have to sign up for the whole thing, you can just do an hour or two if you prefer. It's free to join in, but we'd like to raise as much as we can for the charity through sponsorship and donations. If you'd simply like to donate, you can do so here - you can even request a hymn if you like!
As if this weren't all exciting enough, we'll be incorporating a session of Beer & Hymns into the Friday evening of the event - while you sing hymns in aid of All People All Places, you'll also be able to purchase beer from local brewers (and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks) - the session will start at 7pm.
As the Director of Music at the church, I have pledged to play and/or sing for the whole 24 hours - who will join me?

Don't forget that our Hymnathon is just a week away - Beer & Hymns from 7pm on the Friday night with all the bar proceeds going to All People All Places too! If you'd like to sponsor me for my Herculean 24-hour playing/singing effort, you can do that here. Fanks!
