Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi everyone!

My name's Colin, I'm new to harringayonline

I am very interested in writing a historical piece for the local area for my blog.

I have a subject I'm looking to cover, it's about witchcraft / historical paranormal activity and/or haunting stories.

This is just a shout out to ask if anyone has any great or interesting stories of that nature, I'd be incredibly grateful. I'm looking for little known ones so I can do a bit of research on them as practice for my history degree / blog. So if you know of any cracking ones please let me know :)

Thank you ever so much for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kindest regards

Colin

The Fountain pub on West Green Road has a phantom punter. The staff called the police a couple of times because they though there were break ins and a couple of staff were unnerved to the point of moving out of the upstairs accommodation which is now a hotel. There have also been bizarre incidents of moving objects in the bar.

What about the seven trees/ seven witches story by seven sisters station?

Also a former barman at the Beaconsfield pub used to tell us stories of a ghost there. They may have a few stories still.

I found the number of Wightman rd but don't want to put it in here incase someone lives there so I looked it up on the net and found nothing anyway sorry

Might not qualify as too far away, but Gloucester Drive in Finsbury Park is reputedly London's 'most haunted road'

Apparently the sounds of ghostly children playing can be heard late at night. *shudders*
