Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Reasonably small  - 30 inches square.

Anyone got any recommendations - for companies or carpenters?

These are great. Guy's lovely and could whip you up whatever you wanted.
The samples shown in the last reply look really nice...but as an alternative, have a look in Beans and Barley on Green Lanes.
They've got old scaffold boards which have been sanded, built around kee klamp tubing for a more industrial look.

I've used this in a kitchen and it looks fab imho.
Check out Kee Klamp projects online for some ideas.

There's a shop on Blackstock Road, I'm pretty sure it's only open on the weekends, it's called Gathering Moss.  They deal with all kinds of reclaimed wood in various finishes.   Aside from what they sell in the shop, which is gorgeous, you can give them bespoke requirements and they'll make whatever you want.  I bought a bookcase from there which they made to fit an awkward space in my flat, and the price for it inc. delivery was cheaper than all of the usual tut from Homebase, Argos etc.  Plus the guy who delivered it was the one who made it and he was incredibly modest (and helpful at schlepping it up the stairs!).  I would thoroughly recommend them.

Great suggestions! Thank you.
