And all it took to make this possible was an act of arson. I love the way property is managed in this country.

Come on John, they lost in court. The real crime was Spurs getting their way in reducing the 'affordable' housing. Still, small potatoes compared to the £140million pounds subsidy the taxpayer gifted West Ham with the Olympic stadium.....thats the real Olympic legacy.....

Yeah and thye want to demolish more of the High around the area to pave the way for the obscenely sized stadium. These are inappropriate for this type of location. I don't care what the various lackeys say about benefits that they bring.

Our cynical (in this case Labour) politicians are falling over backwards to facicliate the destruction of many livelihoods in the area under a tag of 'sports-led regeneration' when in fact this is all about very big business and property speculation driving out those who don't have the connections and the power to stop it.

There are many more layers to this onion and all of it smells. And not of rose petals

If people didn't see it at the time, please have a look at the article on 30 October 2013 by investigative journalist David Conn. "Tottenham's new stadium: how club can cash in on development plan". Which includes David Conn's investigation of the land holdings and tax avoiding arrangements.

It seems that Sheriff Claire Kober and her Deputy Strickland never saw the film "Blazing Saddles" where the plot hinges on Hedley Lemarr wanting to buy land on the route of the railroad through Rock Ridge.

They both know full well what is happening. Cynical but not that naive.
