And if so, how has it affected you?
I think those of us that do have a unique experience of what's it's like to live on the Harringay Ladder. We are the eyes and the ears of what really happens.

I'm really interested about this. I would like all the walls along the passage to be maintained by the council, in lovely red brick like there is alongside North Harringay School. I think that living alongside the passage has problems with security but benefits for landlords who want to build a flat in their backyards with side access via the passage.
Also, why so many double fronted houses alongside the passage? Was the accommodation for the sewer under the passage made after the lots had been drawn up for auction?
Oh yes Para. We hear and see the Good the Bad and the Ugly!
This evening's example was shouting and swearing between a couple, something to do with a dog?? and the man saying something along the lines of we could have sold it if you had been quicker.
Nice.
Not sure if any of you are aware but there is a relatively new Friends of the Harringay Passage group that meets regularly and was behind the recent survey to identify attitudes to the Passage. We meet every month (the next meeting is on Weds at 7pm at the Falkland Road Centre (by the school)).
If you are interested and have views, would like to get involved in maintaining and improving the passage environment then feel free to come along and get involved. We hope to see the results of the survey at the coming meeting (?!?!)- if we have them back from the council.
Just to say that we do have the results and I'll present them at the meeting. There are some very interesting and useful findings.
We had a great response too - over 850 questionnaires were returned.
Hello,
First of all, sorry for jumping here with my question, I don`t know if it is the right place and second, excuse my broken english as it is not my tongue language.
So, the problem is I live on Fairfax road and I take daily my little one to school, NHP and I`m disgusted by the mess in the passage between Fairfax and Falkland, plus the dog mess that is on the crossing by the school and in front of houses no 62-64, on school`s side. This is going on for so long and I kept reporting it to the council for atleast 6 months or so. There is a dog owner that is not cleaning after their dog, and believe me it must be a big dog as there are huge fresh loads every morning I take my daughter to school.
I keep calling the council and Veolia Haringey to come clean it and take some action to find the dog owner that is so iresponsable but as this morning they asked me if I know the name of the person? Really? They think I stay on the street 24 h and I don`t have a family and home to look after? Plus how am I supposed to know the name of all the people in the area? After arguing with me that she can`t log in the problem, the lady hung up on me after 15 min on hold, trying to find out what could I do?
As far as it states on all the posters on lamp posts in the area, there is CCTV? Are they using it? Plus I know there is a neighbourhood team? Are they doing anything about it?
Is that hard to check the data from CCTv and take action against this person?
I really am disgusted about this problem and don`t know what more can I do as my calls and emails don`t have any result?
