Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Ours are looking increasingly ropey.
Has anyone had a good experience getting theirs repaired/replaced?
Would you recommend replacing original wood with PVC?

Try West Green Joinery on West Green road. Wood is higher maintenance but greener than UPVC. Personally, I think it looks nicer too.

I have had 4 windows put in by this company and they look amazing.

Modern Joinery Ltd, 412 Hornsey Road N19 4EB - tel 020 7263 0020.

I would repair the wood, make good and repaint. The original windows are always nicer than UPVC, plus you will save a lot of money.   walk around hampstead  crouch end / highgate: count the number of houses with  upvc windows, pebble dashed fronts or stained glass /original doors ripped out.

The amount of money people spend destroying their houses around here never ceases to amaze me.

you can retrofit slimline double glazed units to original windows. perhaps the guy mentioned above can help or recommend. you can also fit secondary glazing.
