Gotta love this idea - joining up all the overground bits to make an even more integrated overground rail system. Harringay to City Airport in what 20 minutes? To Waterloo in 15? Ah, if 't were more than but a dream.

I'm sure that at one time you could go from Harringay Green Lanes to a station called Silvertown and then on to City Airport. Stephen Bln - you'll know if that's true or dreaming.
Harringay to south of the river is happening from 2018 - it's the Thameslink Programme (the mauve line above) - the main question is which trains will stop at Harringay rather than just at Finsbury Park.
On the overground from Harringay Green Lanes, one extension that has been approved is to Barking Riverside, and I have seen fairly recently the suggestion of going across the river here & linking into south London train lines. Who knows...
Silvertown was on the other overground line - through Dalston Kingsland - until quite recently (I once walked from there to City Airport), then it was transferred to DLR.
