Out for a lunchtime stroll.

A quick pit stop.

                                                                                 Whose that following me?

Whats he putting in the boot, he didn't even know I was there.

Much as I do like to see our red-furred rascals running around, this is incredibly bold - the boot shot is hilarious mind!  I got quite fond of one particular furry garden visitor (that we nicknamed Peanut because of its fondness for the peanuts we spilled filling the bird feeder) until it sprayed my son when I'd left him on the lawn for a nap!

There was one sitting on someone's gatepost the other eve on Willoughby Rd - gave me bit of a start when I walked past as I'd just assumed was a cat.

Still quite unusual to see them during the day like this one though ...

I found this earlier this year, cowering in the gutter in the rain. It was actually sitting on a drain cover shaking and whimpering and soaked through. It had been there for at least twenty minutes (I'd seen it from my window but didn't recognise it as a cub) and there was no sign of mum or any siblings. I took it in and phoned the RSPCA who were most unhelpful. After warming it up a bit I had no choice but to take it back out and put it where I believe it had come from. A three foot high brick topped by some railings and beyond that the railway embankment with lots of undergrowth and bushes. At least it was a bit more sheltered from the elements there. After that I I had to leave nature to take it's course whatever the outcome.
