Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Found this in the park. Can anyone tell me what tree this is from?

Found this seed pod in the park earlier and my son asked me what it is and which tree it's from. Can anyone help?

I think it's from a sweet gum.
I've just looked this up- yes that does look like it. I think the leaves are right too. Well done and many thanks!
Careful. It's the Ebola virus.

Try this, next time?

What a great idea for an ap! Thanks.

It only works on iPhones / pads

Back to the Wayside and Woodland guidebook then.

Or hope someone able to think other than "Apple" designs a similar app

Yup, looks like Liquidambar styraciflua (Sweet gum) to me....

Could be a beech nut. Did it contain three sided seeds?
