Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello all

Our lovely black moggie Otis has been missing for a week or so. He's completely black, has a black collar with silver reflectors and a very distinctive bell. He's quite shy of strangers but usually lured in by food.
I live around Harringay Road so hoping someone around there may have seen him?? If so please get in touch - my wife has had Oscar many years and we are both very worried.

Thanks a lot
Pav

Hope you find him soon and hope he's microchipped. It will help us look out for him if you can attach a photo.

Hi Justine

He is micro chipped. I'll get a picture on here as soon as I get home

Lovely cat. Just a long shot, but here's a link to another post of a black cat I've seen recently, so you can see a photo of it.

That looks like Otis!! I'll go looking around Ducketts road and Cavendish! Thank you so much, I do hope it's him
Fingers crossed x

A few nights ago I saw a black cat on Roseberry Gardens. Sounds like he could be roaming around this part of the area.

Have you put up posters?

I've just seen a black cat, peeping out of slats in the top of a shed at the end of a neighbour's garden in Cavendish road. It looks like a rarely used shed and it has some slats open at the top at the back and I suspect the cat is living in there (hopefully not trapped by mistake). I don't know the number of the house on Cavendish road. It is on the side of Cavendish road nearest Duckett road, so I expect it's got an even number, about a quarter of the way down on the left if you're walking from Wightman road down Cavendish road. The shed is visible from my garden in Duckett road.

Did you find out if this was Otis?
My wife and I went up and down the roads calling with food. But no luck. We are going to try tomorrow again. I'm not quite sure which house Justines is mentioning.... If could find the number Justine, I can ask the owners if I could have a look... Provided they don't think I'm going to rob them! I'll take me wife and doctor ID or something...

PavS: many other lost-cat discussions suggest that:

Owners take contents of vacuum cleaner bags or litter trays to where their cat has been seen, and spread them around.

These are familiar smells to attract your cat.

Good luck.

PS The next few days have a dry weather forecast, which would help further.

Ok keep us updated!
