Some of the late night users of Green Lanes entertainment spots may be interested to see this notice that appeared outside Ora (between Allison and Beresford) this week.

Shut the place down.

following this link you will be able to find out what happened

That was a very interesting read especially the police transcripts (scroll down the document)

What ever they are building on their roof, does not look legal, I'm sick of them using the neighbouring roofs as their personal thoroughfare while they build it. Surely this is tresspassing.

couldn't agree more with you

thing is, for construction such like this, fire hazard or not, nuisance, disturbance whatsoever or not etc you do not need planning permission

hope the council will actually physically visit the place

to smoke shisha the space has to be 50% open (to protect the smokers!)

so in order to be lawfully entitled to smoke shisha they have to have no roof

which will increase obviously the noise level (otherwise contained) and the second hand smoke (also otherwise contained)

the freedom to smoke shisha is clearly more protected than being protected from second hand shisha smoke which is far more dangerous then from cigarettes

this gives now two opportunities for the Green Laners

1st open your windows facing Green Lanes with traffic noise and fumes or

2nd open your windows to the back with .... noise and fumes

regards the trespassing: call the council and report it, also if they leave their unwanted rubbish behind, and also if you experience increased noise and smoke due to the "open roof" structure
