Amber Severe Weather Warning for London

A message from the Haringey Emergency Alert Service.

Please be aware that the Met Office have issued an Amber Severe Weather Warning of RAIN, affecting the London area from 00:15 on Saturday, 19^th July until 23:45 on Saturday, 19^th July.

Several areas of heavy, thundery showers will develop over England and Wales from Friday night. Not every where within the warning area is expected to experience severe weather, however where thunderstorms do form, some torrential downpours are likely with frequent lightening, large hail and strong winds. Please be aware that in locations where severe weather is experienced, surface water flooding is possible.

During these periods of severe weather please take extra care and stay in touch with weather forecasts.
