The old site used to be convenient to us non-car owners because it was on bus routes.

The map on the Haringey Council leaflet makes it quite hard to work out how far (i.e. possible) it is to walk from Wood Green tube station and bus routes. So that makes it harder for non-car owners to recycle the kind of stuff that has to be taken to the recycling centre (particularly small electricals) because there aren't alternative recycling facilities locally.

It's a bit rubbish really...

Exactly.  An absolute nightmare if you don't own a car.  I also always found the staff lovely at the Hornsey Depot - I hope they got transferred across.

The centre is about a 1/4 of a kilometre from Mayes Rd. I don't know if buses go along Mayes Rd though. Agree it's not convenient to those without a car.

matt,    no buses go along Mayes Rd.

The W3 and 184 stop near the roundabout where Mayes Road and Station Road meet.
